As the Benjamina,
I learned to argue my case before I could read...
With five much older siblings, it was debate or perish ;)
Since then, people have told me to go into politics or to become a lawyer, but I got into strategic decision-making and earned my Ph.D. on the side.
I have loved working with mid-sized organizations to satisfy my practical getting-things-done side as well. Which has been a ball!
What Really Makes Me Happy:
Paying it Forward
Passing on my learnings of the past 20+ years to new generations of managers, who are the ones that will bring our world into the future.
Think of me as the Yoda of strategic decision-making ;)

How You Make Decisions
Determines the Accuracy of Your Decisions.
Doing it right increases accuracy by 30% on average.
It's not tallying the pros and cons. You didn't do that either when you chose your life partner, now did you.
We first got to know our partners better, met their family and friends, did stuff together. And when that felt good, we moved on.
It's the same with strategic decisions. You have to dive into the decision background first. Try an opinion for size, test it out on others, and when your idea still feels right, you make the decision.
It takes time. That's why you want to start early when disruption is still young.
You Have Big Decisions to Make:
You want to be a better leader and make your organization the best it can be, right?
You know your strategic decision-making is OK, but you just don't know how to get it to great. Where to start, what to change, what to keep, what to stop...

You Know Why?
Because when you tune your process, you will be sure that you've based your decisions on the best information available, turned it inside out to make sense of it, and used the power of your organization to reach your decision.
The confidence you get from thorough preparation and debate will have your stakeholders connect and appreciate your work and want to help you reach your goals.
